With reference to your

of December, I have, etc. to

inform you that the petition

from the Committee of the

Diocesan Boys' School asking that

the loan and all outstanding

interest and sinking fund charges

should be cancelled, has been

very carefully considered, but

that I am impressed by the view

of the Retrenchment Commission

that the maintenance of the

school in its present building

and on the existing site is
